Curriculum

Since its foundation in 2005 by the choirmaster Enrique Martin, the children´s  choir of Las Veredas school has been developing choral music with 11 to 17 year old pupils. In this time the choir has participated in the School Choirs Contest Competition Community of Madrid, obtaining the first prize in 2009 and 2010, and the second prize in 2007,  2008,  2012 and 2013.

Within the choir activities, should also note incursions stage music, representing musical Midas and Persephone by Steve Pogson, for which they won the first prize in the Contest of theater Valdemorillo, besides having recently received first prize in the Contest of Community Theatre of Madrid, with the premiere of the musical Superjim, a work that was commissioned by the British authors choir Steve Pogson and George Simmers.

The work performed by the chorus for choral music does not end with the formation of new singers and performing concerts. Since its beginning, we believe deeply that the vocation of a children's choir must be innovative , and, year after year the choir instructs to Spanish authors choral compositions, which are then released by the choir in concerts and festivals where he goes.  Authors like Patricia Mora, Vanessa Garde, David Azurza and Junkal Gurerrero  have composed several works for this group.

Las Veredas choir has also organised two choir contests in which some of the region’s best choirs have participated, such as: la Escolanía de Segovia, Coro infantil de la de Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and  Coro Juvenil del conservatorio de Tomelloso, along with many others.
